It reminds me a bit of the microscope practicals in second year crystallography. Awesome to see!This is a photomicrograph that I took a few years ago. These are the tables of 2 different diamonds under longwave UV.
The pattern (growth marks) that seems to be mirrored on both diamonds is because these two stones were cut from the same rough. It's a very rare thing to see.
It is one of the coolest photomicrographs I have taken.

I was waaaay too dumb to complete those courses... They made me realise I'm much better in understanding what's going on on top of the ground than beneath it, so I pursued a Geography degree, rather (otherwise known as the Micky Mouse BSc...)Well then you know exactly what you are looking at.
