Sup guys

Any XRP supporters on carb? I know Ripple own like 60% of the coins and blah blah blah FUD FUD.

Looking at the Future plans I really believe XRP is a good investment. With Xrapid going live soon SBI, SEC pending decision. Should we get that green light (Non-Security) Coinbase possibility.

I made a good amount of money over the summer with XRP. Started buying around R3 - R6 sold at R35 - R40.

I started investing a lot of my profits again in the past month mostly XRP.

Anyone else on here that thinks XRP is the way to go? Please if you want to HATE just add your facts with those hate comments.

Thanks Guys!!

I think overall it is a good time to get in on any crypto currency. The big hype is over, and it seems to found some kind of support now. Note this is only my opinion.

I have quite a lot of xrp, and i buy more every month, i think has some decent long term potential. i mostly like how cheap and quickly you can move it around.

Please don't go and buy XRP cause i said it was a good investment its only my opinion.

XRP is great. I've been following XRP very closely since I discovered it and I really believe in what they are trying to do. My question is that there is always so much talk about them joining up with this bank and that bank but sine the beginning of this year its gone from 69c to close to under 40c and then been bobbing up and down around there. WHY WHY WHY? I've come to the conclusion that they are trying to steadily grow XRP value instead of following in the steps of Bitcoin and Ethereum because as mentioned above they do own 61% and when it does begin to climb it will be a very steady climb. Thoughts on this?

However, this may be just a bit of speculation but what I think XRP is ultimately trying to do is to create a pool that banks will be able to dig into in order to trade currencies. i.e. I want to send Bob $ in america but I have ZAR. I then do a transfer and then my Bank buys XRP with that ZAR and sells it to Bobs bank who exchanges it for $ which they then give Bob. If my speculation is true XRP will soon become a pool which value will be the sum of the Capital of all the Banks that have invested in XRP. Thoughts on this?

Anyway, I'd like to hear your guys thoughts on XRP. I've bought quite a bit myself and am holding my thumbs with all you guys and girls that we will hopefully be able to see some ROI sometime this year.

SBI Vctrade accepting new account registration. Looks like trading will go live on the 20th July. Should see some nice volume flowing into XRP.

Another interesting thing Coinbase got the green light for adding coins that are deemed securities so cant see why not add XRP!

Just my opinion but XRP is the antithesis of what Nakamoto hoped for when creating Bitcoin. It's completely centralised, all the risk and control is held by one party and there is no transparency. Also, I keep hearing so and so bank and institutions are considering them but then they are only consider some of their technology not actually their currency. I think the price will rise as will the majority of larger cryptos when bitcoin goes up but in my mind they are not a crypto, more like sellouts. To be fair, the main reason I support crypto is the individual responsibility and personal choice, so no offence to anyone. Each to their own.

What taxation? What Crypto? I made no money from any crypto!

Yeah we all say so, maybe I must do a post about this after sars is done with my tax return that includes my crypto trading.

Did you declare your profit as a Capital gain? The problem is Altcointrader doesnt issue a Certificate.

Let us know how the IT12 turned out after declaring crypto profits

Still waiting had to submit more docs.
Did you submit it as a Capital gain? How much profit did you submit?
What platform did you use when trading? Did you get a certificate or did you make a spreadsheet yourself showing everything?

I used Altcointrader, I submitted it as trading income and not capital gain so I deducted expenses needed to trade. I made spreadsheets and processed my bank statements etc on Pastel. I am an accountant so all this came natural. I did make a small profit because I used all the money to buy more crypto, then I deducted the expenses which then made a loss.

I'm an accountant myself. I made sure I withdrawed R40 000 before end of Feb as I will be declaring it as a capital gain which give me the R40k deduction. Still need to submit my return.

Quick update I submitted my return with the capital gain. I got no review so good to go!

So my return is done, I did not submit as capital gain but as trading so I can deduct expenses, SARS did ask for paperwork, always had that ready. Anyway they are happy with my return.
