I've been doing some research on the matter but I keep getting the "be on the safe side" answer on other people's questions.

I have an XGR 450W PSU. It says that it's rated for 210/230W combined but 15A on the 12v rail

I'm running an i5-4570 which is rated for 85W TDP but, upon stress testing, doesn't exceed about 39W TDP (confirmed by other reviews I've seen).

The 1060 3GB (ASUS Dual OC by the way) is 120W TDP.

From what I've gathered 15A*12v=180W...meaning that my PSU is good for that much output...so in theory I should be good - uncomfortable but okay.

While I completely understand being on the safe side (and prefer it), I simply do not have the money to be spending. I'll wait without a working GPU if need be but if it's no issue it's best I just use this PSU and use the money on non-PC things. So the big question - may I use this PSU for this setup? I see that this brand isn't too uncommon here...but I want to know what people's experiences/thoughts are

Had an XGR keyboard and mouse combo at one time, keyboard got melted one morning when the Suns ray's happened to incident on it. The mouse fell down once and disassembled itself.

I would classify these PSUs worse than raidmax and more inline with the DANY PSUs. If you can afford please upgrade you can get decent PSUs for around R500 and less on Carbonite. You are risking your components unnecessarily.

Fair enough. How are Huntkey or Gigabyte?

Check the link below. You can make up your mind after that (y)
