I got a three-month trial with my processor and I activated it yesterday to install Subnautica and The Long Dark.

It seems awesome! Downloads were fast, games install and launch quickly, and there's a very nice catalogue of titles.

The full price per month is only R49 for now – not sure how long that will last.

Has anyone been using it?

Been using GamePass Ultimate. For PC and console. Also includes Gold membership for console. Great deal IMO

I'll definitely be giving it a try this weekend coming, really want to give the gears of war series a try with my Brother in France, hopefully it all goes well. I have high hopes! It's good value for money. For example Forza Horizon 4 is still in the $60 price range, compare that against R50 a month along with a ton of other games. Very keen!

I really wanted to play halo Guardians but it does not seem to be on gamepass. do they rotate the games?

I've seen that happen on the the same platform, for example Pro Evolution Soccer was available for a few months, removed and then once again added for console. The fact that Halo is available on the console pass and not the PC pass, that I'm not sure of. Haven't seen them include a platform to a game unfortunately. :(

Wanted to play TwoPoint Hospital so I signed up yesterday.
I'm a not big gamer but I also downloaded Worms.

Catalog seems good.

The Xbox app for desktop is garbage (although understandably BETA) . Games have disappeared, downloads have reset and the app itself has crashed a few times. Although I can't complain too much, been playing gears 5 with my brother which has been awesome.
One thing to note is that you cannot match with people using steam which is bleak. Tried matching with some friends for dead by daylight, myself on Xbox game pass PC while they're using steam, we couldn't find each other at all.

I use gamepass for pc and it works well.
Heres something if you have multiple pc's and like to tread a grey area...
Use Microsoft account (which game pass is tied to) on the windows store on all pc's.
Then download Xbox App and sign in with each individual user's microsoft profile into xbox app.

This allows you to share Gamepass from one user with multiple others, and also allows you to multiplay games over xbox app on windows.

I actually have not had many issues with the app. Although lately just been playing alot of fortnite and we can party between mobile pc and console.

Using it as well, and it works well...have the occasional crashes. From what the app started to where it has progressed to now...is massive...the initial app was very basic. A very good catalogue of games as well...not as vast as the console in terms of the library size, but it will hopefully get there.

You should definately give Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition and Ori and the Will of the Wisps a go. Very beautiful platformer that is not as simple as it looks...this game will put your controller through its paces!

Fair enough - I'm clearly using the wrong perspective and comparing the app against Steam which is definitely heightening my expectation more than it should. I just expected simple functionality with regards to limiting download speed or even setting a unique game directory (not just specifying the drive). I retract everything. :ROFLMAO: The fact that I'm able to play Forza (R1000), co-op campaign gears of war with my brother in France, Rise of nations multiplayer (one of my absolute favorites when in primary school), overcooked and worms with the SO for R50 a month is still mind boggling to this day. Kudos Microsoft.

lol...i was also looking for those features you have mentioned...but this being Microsoft, and the xbox app running of the same infrastructure as the Microsoft Store App...i dont see that happening anytime soon (i hope they prove me wrong). Would be ideal if this app was a stand-alone store separate from the Microsoft store (if you download a game/update, you will see it downloading in the MS Store App in the downloads section).

Other than that, there are some brilliant games on there that makes the monthly subscription worth it. I actually want to give Gears Tactics a try, this has gotten so many positive reviews.
