This is in Moto 2, the class just underneath MotoGP. That was over 200 km/h!

Not sure, but he is a very unstable character. he was kicked out of a team in 2016 due to his conduct towards other riders

Even if you HATE a guy, there is NO reason for this kind of behavior. Personal feelings stay off the track.

If the rider fell the damage to the bike and rider would be insane and quite possibly lethal.
The question then is: Knowing doing that can possibly kill someone, is this not attempted murder?
Its like pushing someone off a bridge but then they manage to grab on to the railing and not fall.

He did it with the intent to hurt the guy, knowing it could en up being fatal.
He is a hot headed 22 year old and should be banned from racing!

That not just "irresponsible racing", it's the latest and most dangerous act in a pattern of this behavior and I agree with the lifetime ban that other riders are calling for.
He clearly has no racing spirit, no regard for the safety of his fellow racers and no self control. He shouldn't have the privilege of racing.

There have been numerous incidents of guys going into a corner pushing guys wide. That has no where near the same repercussions or risk as what this guy did.

They were scrapping it out the whole race. But that still gives you 0 right and can't be used as an excuse for his actions.

Racing still has to be done in a safe manner. They are risking their lives already.
Some contact around corners or touching of elbows happens and that is part of racing. But this is just idiotic.

So you would not mind sharing the track with this guy and racing against him? F no if you say it is fine.
There is nothing Balsy or brave of what he did. Takes 0 balls or skill to take hand of the bar and squeeze someone else's brakes. What it does take however is fokkol brains, respect, sportsmanship and common sense.

If the guy gripped it a bit hard, or 1ms longer he would have done more than a stoppie. It ended up well luckily, but that does not might it okay to do.

BTW: I think you were thinking of Rossi and Gibernau perhaps.

Seems to me like he had everything under control? Second gear wheel up, tap to take her down, turn and continue the lane split. Not close to coming off. I agree though, keep it off the street and out of traffic.
