Have also bought XRP that I do not trade with (long term). Critics predict it will hopefully be the next best coin.

Why dont you take the money you going to invest in hardware and purchase Cryptocurrency that you trade with? Just my 3 cents but I have doubled my wallets since December and I have barely done any research. Buy low, sell high?
When I buy low, it only gets lower.

Currently been using nano miner for a week and dota I got an error as the service file was reported as a Trojan and delete. Anyone else had this issue?

Hilarious reading this. It’s a Bull market. Literally everything goes up. Nothing special, it’s just everyday people doing exactly what you’re doing an buying... which sends price up. Getting into mining is worth it, if you have a passion for crypto, not if you want to make money. 99% of new “miners” will eventually realize this and cut their losses.

I hope that all prospective new miners take some time and read this thread.
Mining is about getting your money back as fast as possible to make profit... paying exorbitant prices for hardware is the cardinal sin with mining. We do not overpay for cards. So while you gamers are out here slagging off “miners” for sending the price up, just know it’s the fly by night “miners” who were gamers yesterday doing that as they have no idea of the implications behind mining.Real miners extract value, for the least input, not the opposite.
Buying RX 580s for 5k, 3060 Ti for 15k you’re all going to be burnt so hard so please think twice before dreaming of becoming rich as a miner, it’s a crazy, impossible thought.

It’s 2021, and we still have “miners” believing

1) GPUs can mine bitcoin
2) NiceHash mines bitcoin.

Just to clarify - Ethereum can be mined on GPUs (for now). Bitcoin is mined by ASIC machines. You cannot compete with them with a GPU hence making it pointless with bitcoin.
Second, NiceHash is hashing power marketplace where you are payed in bitcoin for the rental of the hashing power your rig has available, you are not mining ethereum or bitcoin direct.
