WordPress Plugin Development

Folks,

We have a requirement to build out a WordPress Plugin as part of a POC.

The below is a high-level view of what's required from the Plugin:-

• The plugin must deliver a chat widget to a WordPress site.
• The plugin will need to have an admin screen where the administrator can enter in a few details (endpoint URL; user-token; access-token).
• The widget must call a REST service (as configured in the endpoint) using the stored credentials to deliver the chat message.
• The widget must receive the synchronous response from the above service call and display the response in the chat window.
• The response can either be plain text or could contain structured content which would need to be displayed in a consistent manner.
• The pre-defined content could contain images with a set of key-values attached. These could possibly be displayed as a slider within the widget.
• The user should be able to open and close the widget without losing data already in the chat window.
• The user should be able to navigate between pages without losing data already in the chat window.
• The widget but be easy to re-skin to match the style of a client’s website.
• The widget but be easy to re-brand to use the logos of a client’s website; change the default image for the pop-up etc.

We're looking for someone with the requisite skills who will be able to knock this out fairly quickly and at a reasonable price as a fixed-cost development project.

There would be opportunities for further work pending the outcome of the POC.
