It's now out of alpha and has been released. Since alpha, they have done a lot of quality of life changes, Rhykker covers that well, and also at R219 before sales, that's a very decent price point. Payday, I am getting this game

Also skill tree is an updated version of PoE's with a very nice mechanic to it. 3 rings that you can rotate to link up specific skills with one another. :)
 
Bought it last week before the full release and price increase, knew they were gonna increase the price, not major increase but all helps.

Still have to run it though

Always looking for some diablo like game to play, pity poe is so damn hard solo (or maybe I am just stupid)...

Lol, PoE is a bit more difficult than Diablo, more to do with their 'skills' and then the skill tree.
 
Instantly bought this game last year when i saw it. game will keep you entertained while we wait for Diablo.

Is there endgame, and if so, how is it?

Can't do much research now, work firewall blocks alot of games
 
Is there a way to increase the difficulty? Feels like the creeps cant even damage me at the moment.
 
Only started out now.

Tip :
If you have kak internet like me, switch to offline mode. Combat feels much better.
Also, seems you can use online character for offline. Guess vice versa might also be true ?

I hope so, been playing offline in any case. Apparently online isn't available at the moment. Massive server issues or something like that.
 
Offline chars dont work in online, basically forces you to create a new char if you don't have a online char yet.
Also even though you could launch game in online mode last night, loading in game itself was still impossible..
Seems they are using ex-EA servers...

Level 31 now and already I want to start over and try other skills lol
 
I think this game is somewhat similar to PoE, in the essence that you should play through it first and see if you can figure stuff out before following build guides, and all that. I am still treating it like other RPGs, but I shouldn't as it has a different mechanic system, ie the hybridness of the skills.

Yea I thought it would be easy to switch between a melee and a spellcaster or ranged build and while you can swap skills etc without redoing passives and atribute points this is basically a nightmare where your char does a substantial amount of damage less when trying to quickly swap classes.

My guess would be this would work better for swapping between different styled melee builds like a full dps or a tank build that uses similar skills/passives rather than swapping to a completely different type of build.
 
If you happen to reset your quest progression, or want to test builds, you can edit your offline save file. ZiggyD covers how to do this.

 
Is it just me or does the game feel little bit "clunky" at times. Example when you trying to use a potion, you must first wait for the current move or animation to finish before you can drink the potion. Same issue for example dodge rolling. Happened a few times I tried to dodge having to mash the spashbar a few times before anything actually happens. Just feels that you must always wait for a animation to finish before you can do the rest.

Other than that , really enjoying the game thus far.

Oh, and summon builds seems to be a no go at the moment with hardly any items dedicated to summoning and not much on the skill tree to boost your minions.

Yep, I agree. Seems like the streamers all enjoyed the game to completion, but then don;'t play once they get to end game. mbXtreme doesn't want to play it anymore, as he says they only want us to play one build, and there's just too many bugs and exploits to enjoy the game properly. I am hoping that this is something they rectify in the coming weeks/months.

With that been said, it is a small amount of devs working on the game, similarly to how PoE had started. I'd rather be a little patient on them and see how they fix this.
 
I enjoyed the campaign but stopped there. Did not try out any of the end game content as I did not want to put too much time into end game as I suspect alot is going to change. I did not try spell casting yet but it seems for melee there is only one skill , bleeding edge.

Still very optimistic. Will probably reply this in a years time or so.

Now to wait for Torchlight 3.

Should I teach you not to be noob at POE? is not very hard. There be many builds you can use to easily breeze through the game on softcore.

Hardcore is a different story which is what I play xD


I'm a bit disappointed with Wolcen. Online you can clearly see the delay and it make the experience quite meh for me. I got into it quite a bit when I started a offline character and it got me hooked for a bit but it's a forgettable experience.

Please do as I do love POE but my lvl 50 build sucks ass and I can't even get out of the town during part 2 of the campaign.
Die almost instantly to normal mobs that spawn.

As far as 'end-game' goes for Wolcen, it's pretty repetitive.
I also only play offline on it however.

I assume your steam profile under your carb profile is correct. I'll send a invite when I get home. Next time I see you playing I'll hop on and we can start fresh characters and we can discuss what kind of build you want and from there we can pick characters and aim for item stats etc etc.

There are many many builds you can do.

Sweet thanks man, will appreciate any guidance in the game as I am currently running a mix between fire and lightning damage buffs with some totems iirc.

Haven't really played in a while as ping is pretty bad, but will hopefully improve once I get my fiber line installed.

I could go in depth to exactly how you building it, pure elemental dmg or elemental to physical conversion. But the fact that you said you have some totems as well... I'm not sure what build that could possibly be xD. But hey. You can try make it work. I'm still trying to get a ball lightning build to work. It's not doing so well though.

Im not really following any specific build.
I kind of focused on fire/lightning damage then took whatever I could get to buff it more thus the totems.
So got some that increase damage enemies take etc.

Would need to check exactly what I am using, but as far as I remember I am focusing on doing as much damage as possible (so probably a very broken/weak glasscanon type build)
