I'll start by saying Rain is 100% out of the equation

So despite Octotel being active in the area (and shows up on the coverage map), the building management won't allow them in and are sticking to DFA. It's not so much the crazy prices of DFA that bothers me, it's that they won't budge on a 2-year contract. Pretty much a provider's way of saying "Now that you're signed up, we ain't gonna do shit to help. Enjoy your stay"

Anyone this side of the world have any recommendations or positive experiences with the likes of Get Wireless Fibre Internet in Cape Town or anyone else?

Thankfully I live close by, so will probably take anything home with me that requires updates/larger downloads, so the speed isn't the main issue. Just looking for something reliable, with a team that doesn't tell me to "turn it off and on again" when there's an issue. I've been spoilt by Atomic Access's service, but they also refuse to use DFA because of their archaic contracts.

Any advice/suggestions/references/contacts is greatly appreciated

*EDIT - Office block is Westlake Square, 1 Westlake Drive

Vox have a 24/7 NOC, multiple submarine cables for capacity and redundancy, SLAs and very aggressive pricing on FTTB right now. I'd go with them and perhaps a second ISP as failover.

Assuming you're inquiring about your office? Also try get the best contended service and rather two ISPs as opposed to one expensive less contended service.

Just had a look at Vox and the starting package in the block is for a 20/20 Frogfoot line at R3,999 with a 12-month contract. Weird because everyone else seems to say Frogfoot isn't in the block. Not sure how their service is these days but about 2 years ago it was awful. I'm all for second chances though.

By comparison, Octotel/Frogfoot in the other office blocks is R2,199 for a 100/100 line. The Vox option includes a whole bunch of extra's that aren't needed. Probably give all of em a call on Monday though

So until I can convince the office block management to let them in, still stuck looking for something month-to-month which I'll probably end up keeping anyways, as a backup like you mentioned

In case anyone stumbles upon this and in need of something similar, went with Rocking Connect. Rocking Connect

Can't comment on other than Shawn responds quickly, and within an hour of the call has got the ball rolling already

Bonus is the prices are good, and has month-to-month option

Not sure if signed yet, Supersonic - Home

This is really awesome using for while now, true uncapped I get around 140 to 160mbps!

Ah, did try to get hold of them but Rocking was the first to respond and is quite popular in the building, so could fast track all the paperwork and stuff. The joys of month-to-month means I'll bookmark these guys though and if the future looks bleak I'll definitely give them a shout.

Appreciate the recommendation though!
