I really want to get a new case and the H500 looks really appealing but I've noticed most of NZXT's previous cases haven't came here. Only popular cases(Like the H440 and S340) have made it here. So should I wait and see if its available here or just get one now?

Contact stores that sell NZXT products to find out, I'm sure they'd be able to tell you by now. If I recall correctly, the stores that sell them are Evetech, PCLink, and Wootware.

Thanks for mentioning this though, didn't even know this came out, now just another case to add to my ever-growing list of potential cases :ROFLMAO: On a serious note though, do you know how's it's thermals? The front looks more restricted than the S340 Elite, and that already wasn't the best with regards to thermals.

I've only contacted Evetech so far who told me just to wait and see if they put anything on their website. Might just contact Wootware tomorrow to ask them about it.

As for thermals, its supposed to be on par with the H700i although we'll probably see more benchmarks when it gets released :/

Cool man, if you get any date, share it here :p

Just read this review, thermals don't look very good, it's much warmer than the S340 Elite in the CPU stress test (heck, check that idle temp already ) and with the GPU stress test, it is less than 2 degrees cooler. I feel like the S340 Elite is the better case overall, as you also lose the 2 extra USB2.0 ports on the front, granted that the H500 is priced slightly cheaper than the S340 Elite, it is actually priced at the normal S340's price.

I'm leaning towards the Phanteks P350X, looks like thermals should be decent, and it's priced the same as the H500, check it out ;)
Also, I see NZXT released a normal H700 now (without the smart device), which is $50 cheaper than the H700i, if you were looking at that.

I came here to post this exact thread.

I was eyeing the S340 Elite for a while. Evetech said they only get a certain number of shipments a year (I think 3 or 4). This means we'll probably be waiting a good few weeks for Evetech to get new stock BUT it also means that the H500 should land along with S340 Elite stock.

I'm not a fan of the 3/4ths Tempered glass design but this case seems like a serious competitor to the Elite. If you watch the in depth walkthroughs it just seems like everything is so well put together and designed. I honestly can't decide now, but I'm leaning towards H500 on price alone.

Plus, NZXT could sell me pig excrement with their product reveal trailers.

I really want an H500 in white. I know white is the worst for dust but I want something different.

H500 at R1200 is a bargain.

@RebelTech will also be stocking them it seems.

Honestly can't decide on this or the Corsair Carbide 275R. I would take the H500 on aesthetics alone but I feel like it limits watercooling potential down the line.

Pity you can't see these things in person unless you know someone who has one.

If I may ask, why the 275R over other cases like the NZXT S340 Elite, Phanteks P400S/P350X, or Meshify C?
It's mounting for the side panel is cancer and those front white lights make no sense.

On the contrary, if you don't actively open your case a lot then they look quite nice and white light on black is my build theme.

It's got a top 240 rad over the H500's 120, although how useful that is is questionable. can also do front 360 rad over 240 on the H500.

The H500 is miles ahead in all around aesthetics though.

Okay, late night reading comprehension aside, the Meshify is slightly over budget, the S340 is basically not stocked (and where it is, more expensive) and the Phanteks... I'll have to look at again. I did at one point long ago, but I didn't like the angular design that much.

Haha I ask, because I was looking at the same cases as you a while ago and decided on the Phanteks P350X.
The Meshify C was my first choice, but Wootware didn't stock it back then, so I decided on the P350X over the others, because of it's better ventilated front panel, built-in RGB strips on the front and side, and I like the smaller TG side panel.

If airflow is a priority for you, then the Meshify C and Phanteks Pro M would be the top picks, but if they just out of your budget, check out the P350X as well, quite nice for it's price. :D

Wootware says if you pay for the H500 case they can get it delivered in 1 to 2 weeks, Evetech has a 6 week waiting list, Im waiting for the H400

Any decent benchies for the NZXT H500i for thermals? As I'm considering getting this case after I sell my Thermaltake View 71 TG RGB.
