Hey there guys :)

I'd like some advice from the guys who specialize in networking / infrastructure.

Do you have advice for a wifi setup to use at home where one doesn't have to worry about drop out as you move through the house etc?

I have a double story house, it's big, but not huge.

I had a router and repeater which drove me insane, so I replaced them with a D-Link DIR 2680 hoping to be rid of any wifi issue but sadly I'm not...

I still have issues as I move through the house where momentarily my phone might reconnect or be offline for a few seconds etc.

We've got a number of devices at home and I don't want to be running ethernet cables all over the house... There's gotta be a setup I can buy to make a decent go of it surely?

I've got a gigabit fibre connection at home.

I think that covers everything [emoji14] Any advice from those in the know would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!!

The best in my opinion is running something like UniFi Long Range Access points but they are POE so need ethernet cables running to them.
Apparently the https://amplifi.com/instant UniFi Amplifi is very good but never actually used it before and is pricey. If you
went this route you would likely need the UniFi Instant Router but would need to purchase the Instant Router kit to make it 3 Nodes altogether depending on the size of the house.

If you REALLY don't want to run any cables then a good mesh system is basically your go-to. If you've got gigabit internet, I don't think you'll be happy until you can do a speedtest on the toilet and get 990mb+, and that's basically going to require cables.

I was having issues with WiFi especially upstairs so I bought this. Simple to setup and solved all my problems.
