So there have been a lot of Battle Royales out there and I have tried pretty much only the top 3 (or so I call them the top 3).

Basically want to see how preferences have changed or remained the same with all the contenders in the market and to see which is your favourite?

I played a lot of PUBG and enjoyed it at the time but eventually our group of player's lost the fun factor and just found other games were more polished and moved on. Haven't tried it recently with all the updates but friends of mine say it feels smoother.

Ring of Elysium - Felt like a smoother game than PUBG but a very odd experience coming from PUBG. You choose a place and you are spanwed in their but overall it could have been fun, just didn't have many friends playing it so didn't really give it a fair chance.

I tried Fortnite as friends also tried it, I loved the Team Death Match modes as the building essentially ended up in the map changing through the course of fights and it was fun. For Battle Royale I hated the building mechanic, honestly hated the idea of someone being able to throw up a wall when I started shooting them. So essentially I just didn't get into this game fully, I started to improve my building but I just couldn't enjoy it that much.

Realm Royale - I played this with 1 friend for some time on release while it was the hype train. Awesome simplistic experience, felt like Fortnite without the building but the game definitely punished you for not getting those upgrades at the forgery. So it felt like you would be looting and trying to forge, maybe I didn't play aggressive enough but it was fun while it lasted. Just died quite quickly.

Apex Legends.......the PUBG I was wanting from the start!. L.O.V.E this game. Ended up buying Titanfall 2 as I didn't realise how great Respawn was and how polished their games are.
So Apex legends may be lacking the sheer content that Fornite is pumping out but I am here to enjoy the full Battle Royale experience and Apex seems to do it well. Short games, Enough Loot with enough variation but no heavy focus on needing the best attachments to perform (PUBG I am looking at you on this one, Tsk Tsk Tsk) and well, it is SMOOTH for me.
The Legends with their unique abities is really awesome and adds a unique aspect to the game plus no fall damage allows for fun interactions and fights, no falling off a building and dying when you were pulling off some awesome shooting. Just a fun experience. It does seem like the hype train and left and it's hard to find some people to play with as friends don't play as often as I would like to but whenever I get to play I don't feel like I am at a disadvantage because I haven't been practicing, can always have fun and maybe pick up a victory, but I focus on aggression and kills now!

So I haven't tried CoD BO 4 Blackout which looks fun because it's paid and I only really was keen to buy PUBG due to the hype and friends playing.

Give me your preference!

If only PUBG had local severs then it would be tops, Apex takes the cake when it comes to hitreg even if though the servers are not local.

Tetris 99 totally counts
OMG, people have taken BR too far 🙈

Yup, PUBG hitreg and such ruined the game for South Africans. I always fight disadvantaged when going for hot drops and well, looting for 15 minutes to find someone who had been better kitted and wrecks you because they could hot drop. Although we used to have some fun with the care package strat of getting geared on care packages.

I just prefer Apex because it is rewarding to be aggressive and well, I tend to actually get kills and I can visually see how much damage I have done and how much more I need to do which makes it easier than PUBG. I also know when Armor is broken

Well this poll has been interesting, seems from those who saw this and voted, Apex is leading but PUBG also seems to have some high numbers. Maybe I should give it a shot now since the updates and all.

I don't like when I peek, shoot and then hide again... BUT I DIE BEHIND COVER?! WHAT?! lol.

Also hitting a guy twice in the head with an AWM, bloodsplatter galore on both shots only to be dropped with 2 AKM shots from quite a distance and the replay showing you hit him only once.......

Yep... Your eyes say you hit the oak a few times but....

Lol!, Yep. I loved PubG, put more than a 1000 hours into it and it was equal amounts awesome as it was frustrating. The satisfaction of stalking your enemies with an AWM or M24 and hitting epic long distance shots then watching their team mates scramble was epic. Or on the flipside the fear and jumpscares you get when you are busy checking out a couple of enemies and all of a sudden a shot rings past your ears. Reminds me of the old DayZ mod days. It is something that I have rarely experienced in other games since DayZmod or Arma3.

Other BR's Don't have that feeling of urgency or despair for me.

Unfortunately after trying it out the other day after a long hiatus we were back to square one with the Lag which was just frustrating from the get go. Getting killed behind cover, emptying clips into enemies and them 1 or 2 tapping you etc etc.

PUBG is a great game. It's very addictive. The more you get killed the more you want to jump back in and try harder.

I don't mind the randomness of the loot spread but the lag...eish...

My friends and I have over a 1000 hours each invested in PUBG - SarelSlipstream sums up what made the game epic perfectly, but yes hit reg and the running and running and running only to get one shotted by a KAR98 has taken it's toll on us. That special feeling has left the building. The matchmaking putting you up against players that are just putting in way more time into the game than us is frustrating - 1 year ago we would at least get 2 kills per game, win some fights, because we were matched against players of our level.

We will always play PUBG, but we have recently discovered Rainbow Six Siege and that feeling if enjoyment is back. This game will probably also have its flaws which we are still to discover but for now I am happy that I have another game to go to when PUBG pissis me off :)

However PUBG will always be the big daddy of BR.

Been hearing some very good things about R6. Will definitely give it a go some time.

BABO VIOLENT

By far the best battle royale.

Used to LAN this 13 years ago at a LAN party waiting for files to be copied.

We should make a carb BABO discord server
