Hi all

My service plan on my Hyundai accent ran out :(
Does anyone know a respectable place in Pretoria east to take my car for a service ?

The dealership quoted me R7600 for a filter change and fluid change. Not even spark plugs or cam belt.

That is very steep for a minor service. I use a friend in Primrose to service my wife and mother's car but I guess that is far out for you.

Odometer reading? R7,600 sounds like a major service, 90k km or the likes. Also, consider purchasing a topup service plan. Yes, you pay more in the long run and yes, it adds to your monthly repayment, but you avoid the hassles of large once-off payments every 6/7 months to pay for a service.

If you were in Cape Town, I'd send you to my mechanic and he'd turbocharge your Hyundai. Old Paul put a turbo on his wifes i10 and doubled the power output.

You can do the oil and filter yourself BTW - call Goldwagon and ask them for an oil for your car and the appropriate filter.

Tx for the replies.
I did find someone not to far from me and quoted me a very reasonable price.

Cheers
