Hi gents,

I am a young, aspiring Otaku and would very much like some recommendations please.

I've watched Death Note and One Punch Man, and want to get to the next level of weeabo... I already speak fluent nani and arigato.

As with tits, I realise everyone has a different opinion on what is good and watchable. So where does everyone's anime (tit) preference overlap? I don't want anything with over 9000 episodes...

WEEBS OF CARB, share with me your favourites!

I have only seen some of the commercial ones,

Samurai Champloo
Full Metal Alchemist (not brotherhood)
Death note
Attack on Titan
Afro Samurai

Thanks dudes!

I also watched Your Lie in April as my first, proper anime. Subsequently fell in love with a drawing of an underaged girl...

I will put some of those in the googles tonight and, erm, watch some anime!

Try avoid animes like Bleach and naruto. They are filled with so many fillers. There are guides to skip fillers, but that is so lame. If you enjoyed Death Note, then Future Diaries is a good start. Very similar concept

THANKS FOR THE SPOILER! </3

ok ok jk jk!! Will check it out for sure, sounds lekker.
I love short animes that end in a very emotional manner. Most of the ones I mentioned left me emotionally scarred for years!

With a wife and 2 kids, I can't afford to be emotionally unstable at home anymore....
Have not watched proper anime in quite some time
Watch it with your children and give them something to think about and discuss with therapists in a few years...

No bleach thanks sir... Way too many episodes, makes me think of Days Of Our lives. No thanks.

But it's befok, super jus!!! You'll be doing yourself a disservice if you don't watch it. You don't have to watch the fillers, see if you can get it without them.
Another one to watch is Kengan Ashura, just finished watching it on Netflix and i thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have nothing to add, but I did lol at the OP.

Not at him, but his verbose and humourous text, just to be clear.

Rorororororororo

Cowboy bepop and trigun were some of my favourites back in the day. Prefer the shorter running animes (30-40 eps) vs Bleach that runs like 900 fucking episodes with half being fillers. That shit lost me at about 75ish. What about GetBackers?! Or if you're feeling cheesy initial D.
