Hi there,

I bought a 1070 off carb right before the shortage, hooked it up - worked fine. Then I opened it up, re-pasted it, and for whatever reason thought it's a good idea to replace the pads with paste too. Plugged it back in, PC didn't detect graphics card - wouldn't POST. Life got hectic for a bit, but I now replaced the thermal pads, re-pasted again, and cleaned the whole thing with IPA - still can't get it to POST. So I'm wondering what the best course of action here is... I've considered selling, if I'd even get anything for it, but I'd really prefer not to, given the shortage (and I still need a decent GPU). There are also some more extreme potential fixes I've considered, but I'm not exactly a fan of sticking my card in the oven.

Any advice? Possible fixes? Reliable people who might be able to fix it (without it costing an arm and a leg)? I'm really panicking here and would really appreciate any help.
