I had the USG 3p for a very long time, bought it new from Scoop.
Now I reckon my actual network hardware setup is pretty nice and fancy with several APS (that keep changing) but at that time I was running a 10/2, then 20/20 line, then 50/5 etc. I basically tried all the speeds except 100/10 upwards.
So the USG throughput with IPS/IDS (max 85Mbps) didn't really matter.
After a while I switched to the UDM when I saw a sale ad for one on here.
The value of all the different parts integrated seemed nice. And expect the lack of POE it is great.
But, the USG 3p has no WiFi so the spot it was in was already well covered.
So I had plans to relocate the UDM and re-run the cables differently etc to make more use of its built-in Nano-HD AP and the non POE switch.
But I'm lazy
So I sold the UDM and got another USG 3p from Carbs. (the UDM also runs a different OS and cant be a downstream device)
Again didnt have a faster line speed to benefit it over the USG 3p
Fast forward some months and I get 100/10. Now IPS/IDS makes the USG suffer, cpu usage 100% etc.
Also the unifi controller interface changes to something I dont like
Additionally a new update breaks things.
Etc.
At this point annoyed by UniFi software and dont see the point anymore.
So I switch to this when it launches at Scoop:
Cloud gigabit router with 10 ports POE.
Look into the software, its alright but no longer care that much. so ignore
Still got all the unifi aps so have a controller backup
Upgrade line to 100/100
Fast forward more months.
I buy more unifi aps
Downloaded the new controller and restored backup, all looks fine.
The Reyee also seems to be still be running fine and doing whatever it does.
Will probably try their APs eventually and the cloud software also seems to natively support Hikvision ip cams etc
(But I like UniFi ac in walls now)
Will fiddle one day.
Oh and with recent price drops might upgrade to 200/200 or 1000/200
But dont really care too much about speeds
