So Forza Horizon 5 is here and I would really like to get into the whole sim steering setup. I would also like to get into the new F1 ect so I guess a normal shifter setup won't work?
I'm trying to stay under R2500. Would I get anything decent for that?

I owned a logitech g29 a while back and played horizon 3 with it, wasn't all that fun. I'd say the horizon games are more tailored to controllers. Motorsport though was nice with a wheel, and dirt rally with a wheel is the tits.
Guys are selling the logitech set at ridiculous prices these days though, I paid 2.5k back then for the set with the manual shifter

Yea I tried Horizon 4 with my Thrustmaster wheel, and well... it sucked...
Motorsport 7 worked a fair bit better with the wheel, though Forza itself just doesn't give you all the fine tweaks you need to calibrate your wheel to the game like so many other racing sims do which is unfortunate to say the least.

Yea I saw that the experience in older Forza games were sucky at best but I've seen some really good streamers saying the experience has completely changed (especially when it comes to simulation steering on the wheel)

But Forza won't be the only game I'll be playing as I'm really want to get into sim racing

R2500 won't get you much but you can always keep and eye out for a G29 or a T150 (pro has better pedals), have seen some sell at that price range before but they are few and far in between. It does ofc depend on your platform, Playstation consoles are favoured here.
Alternatively you can pick up a DFGT (Driving Force GT) for about R1k which is a decent starter wheel. Don't pay more than R1k for a DFGT.
