Items Wanted: Weights - old plates, bars, dumbbells, kettle bells, etc.
Packaging Essential: Nope
Desired Age: Doesn't matter, as long as they're not too messed up
Location: Pretoria, but will also consider picking up in Fourways/Bryanston/etc.
Willing to accept a shipped item: Yeah no, it's literally just weights
Ballpark/Budget Amount: Depending on the weights, I'm willing to pay around R10 per kg, depending on what you have

So I'm looking to build a collection of weights at home. I want to start a calisthenics program mostly, but I've always loved working with weights as well and I want to get back into it. Let me know what you have. I'm not interested in those complete home gym things, but if you have some of the weight plates from one of those, let me know.

I'm also looking for a bench - specifically a flat bench. Incline would be awesome, and a seated bench in addition to this would be the winner. I'm again not too fussed about the condition (it's for my garage gym), but it should at least be usable.

I'm considering going new, but the cost of plates is just a tad on the high side for me right now, hence the post here.

Chances are that you are sorted but just in case you haven't, I have a extremely sturdy custom made pull-up bar - need 4 rawl bolts to fit it.

Thanks man, I've seen that one. I'm building my own with additional grips, like this:

But for a significantly cheaper price. Also painting it not white so it'll match the rest of my stuff and I can also practice my welding in the same go.

wow..if you are getting this one for less than 300 rands, that is damn good deal. Well done; someone fleeced me in custom bar deal then..I know that someone very well...

I think the pull up bar and the dips bars in total will be like R300 in steel, or something like that. Not a lot at all.
