Hey all,

I wasn't sure where to post this but I am looking for recommendations for a company that does home network installation.

Already been burned by a company that overcharged for plugging in a few wireless boosters that do fok all.
Need some pro's to run network cables through pre-existing conduiting.

I could probably do it, but girlfriend has banned me from doing things around the house after one or two botched jobs.

Location is Cape Town, Camps Bay.

Gracias

@TheRealRoko I have used some powerline adapters at my folks place. Worked wonderfully. And no "draadtrekking" required.
Alternatively, I do have a wireman that could do it for you. (I work for a company and we do a lot of electrical installations. He is my colleague, but moonlights on weekends.)
Is the conduit empty? There are technically regulations for running wires.

I use powerline adapters upstairs, but unfortunately our house is made up of 3 separate "electricity things". I can't remember what it is called. Phases? No... Maybe...

Conduits were layed especially for networking in the house when it was built. There are some damp issues though, and I think there may be some really old network cables in there. We have fiber now, and essentially I want to remove the old cables, connect to our new fiber line and then run to downstairs where we can extend with wireless or powerline adapters.

Quick update as I am getting a lot of awesome responses, and thanks to all those that followed up!

Currently at the top of my list is my brother who works for Eskom as an engineer and has to do network installations on substations. He says he will take a look and assess if he can help us. If he doesn't think he can then he suggests I follow up with the folks that contacted me.

So currently I have a list of 3/4 that I will follow up with mid-week once we have taken a closer look at the situation.

Thanks again!
