Valorant has officially launch....

So how are you finding the game? Whats your experience thus far? So on and so forth...

I played one unranked game and I must say I'm kinda impressed. It feels a lot like CS 1.6 but nicer... I am a long time CS:GO players and had no problems adjusting to the game play.

I'm personally not a fan of the cartoonish look (reminds me of Fortnite but less "in your face with the colours") but everything is clear and enemies are visible from a distance which adds to the competitive nature of the game. So nothing to really complain about there. The weapon mechanics are very similar to CS:GO in that there's recoil and different rate of fire, etc. Remember pull down lol. I'm still getting use to the abilities (the ultimates, speed boosts, double jumps, etc). I'll stick to the flashes and smokes for now.

I'm from Cape Town and got an average ping of about 220ms, using MTN Fixed LTE. Not sure what servers I was connected to... Prob EUW... To be honest, it doesn't feel too laggy, but it felt like I had a disadvantage in duals.

If you know how to change which servers you connect to please comment down below.

So will this replace CS:GO? Honestly I don't think so. Its a cool game that deserves to be checked out.

But CS:GO is still king of all FPS.

I played a couple of games last night, I really enjoy it actually, much more then CS, but then CS was never really my game.

Ping is a bit rough though, I had 220 aswell, I think there was a lot of packet loss last night, day 1 and all that. There were times when it "felt" as if my hit reg was "fine" and I was getting frag's and others when I just died & lol'ed.

Obviously, local server's would be cool, that said I quite enjoyed the banter with the guys from EU, was fun.

After playing I agree with whoever said "It feels like the game Overwatch should have been", I had some doubt's about it being just another shooter, but I think they pulled it off well, obviously a bit more casual then CS, in the sense of grenade usage, etc. But the aim factor is still there, clutching is fun & I'm stoked about it having decent anti-cheat, say what you will about riot now having all my nudes...

Pretty sure Riot did confirm North Africa servers are coming this year still so that should, in theory, bring the current ping down 100ms.

They did yes, although I'm afraid those server's might actually be based in Turkey, similar to what BDO did with their's, so technically a longer route for us then to europe. Granted BDO was serving the middle east aswell, so we'll see.

Ping was better yesterday though, solid 167ms all night, still too laggy for most 1v1's, there might still be packet loss, but the hit reg / server's are good, I think they're 128 tick, so if you dome them first you can still win.

Really enjoying the game. I play csgo full time and overwatch for fun so this was the perfect mix. My team and i won the ACGL valorant tournament this weekend, so think ill definitely be continuing.
