Can anyone recommend me a USB-C to Audio connector (3.5mm) that works well with their phone? Few places online seem to be a bit and a miss. Just want something decent, as my current one from my previous phone only plays through the one (right) channel for some reason.

Halp!

Would bluetooth not be an option?

Lol. I should have clarified. I'm a simple man, it's for the car's aux in. So have a 3.5mm and need to convert to USB-C.

Aaaaand, go.
This may sound funny - but - the Apple USB-C to 3.5mm converter works quite well and actually gets pretty good reviews for sound quality. I use it as a DAC at work and it's been pretty good. It's only R 250 from iStore.

It's worth noting that it has a female 3.5mm port so you will need a separate Aux cable as well.

EDIT: and yes it works on Android phones (I have an S10e) and Windows PCs as well.

Is it this doohickey?

Thank you kindly noble traveler. I will go grab one and hopefully listen to some blissful soulcrushing metal

No buenos :( or rather, that cable works that I get audio out of both channels, but at like 1/3 the volume versus just analogue. Now riddle me this, when I use my USB to 3.5mm I did before (which seems broken since it plays only through the one channel), I still get full volume?

Meh
