Just a quick one.

Modified sign wave ups- Cheaper than pure signwave. Will it effect your power supply after some time? And can you run your whole setup from it? Like 144hz screen, fiber modem... Depending on the size of the ups obviously.

Pure signwave is better according to what I heard but a lot more expensive.

What's the best setup to go for?.A big UPS or Inverter with deepcycle and solar? Modified or pure?

Pure, almost always.

Modified can break stuff over time, make it make a high pitched sound and all sorts. if you are running camping lights or something, bu all means go cheap. but sensitive electronics, pure if you can.

A big UPS is the easiest these days, but if you want to expand it later then rather inverter + external batteries.

Victron Energy Inverter + Lithium batteries would be at the very top of my recommendations, but also costs most.

best setup would definitely be pure sine inverter setup with lithium batteries, but that would become costly

a normal inverter setup with some deepcycles should do the trick though

a UPS isn't really meant for long runs and more just to make sure you have time to shut down

Depends on what you run.

Switch-mode power supplies are unaffected by mod-sine.

Motors can be affected by mod-sine (they run hotter with higher losses. If the guys that designed it spent extra on wiring, you are fine. If they designed close to the limit, the motor burns out.)

Ref: 15 years in the inverter/converter design industry.

Best compatibility is pure sine wave. Modified sine or square wave is just a cheaper option as compared to pure sine. Sort of a "maak n plan" cheapie solution...

Also worth keeping in mind is the noise of the UPS.
I believe most pure sinewave UPS will be online UPS and have their fans always on. Some are crazy loud, some are tolerable.
Off-line UPS can have the fans shut off when the mains are on, and only start when there's no electricity but there's a very short delay between when the power goes out and the UPS starts
