Afternoon all,

I am wondering and hoping if someone can guide me or give me some advice as to why this is happening. I am not sure which fans are doing this but it seems to be my case fans.

  1. My MSI Afterburner fan curve does not seem to be working as the profile is not loaded on startup event though I have selected it.
  2. My CPU cooler fan/case fans are going full speed for a few seconds.

This has started recently and I have no idea as to why. After being in-game for a bit and the pc has warmed up after being in a for a few minute, loading into a lobby/intense situations and just random times thewhole pc just decides in needs to be running everything at max and I have a deafening sound of fans pushing 100%, sometimes it'll only happen once a game and sometimes it happens 5 seconds after it just happening, I can't really say what activates it as it just seems any fluctuation pushes it. and hearing a buzz every couple of seconds is less an annoyance than it is a concern for what is actually going on and causing it.

Plz Halp, thank you, I appreciate it xD

Nope, I monitor it with Afterburner and everything is normal, I see now that I disabled Corsair link on startup so I will restart and jump in a game and see if it helps at all.

What are your max temps?

High 60's low 70's for GPU, high 50's-mid 60's for CPU

There is the spike happening, had 3 happening when I alt+tabbed out and back into the game, a couple times during the game and twice right after I had closed the game. Thought it has stopped from the first 3 hot drops didn't produce any sign of it xD

What about your fan settings in your motherboard bios?

Will check now but I believe it begins to increase from 45 degrees and has integers at every 20 degrees on PWM, believe it is set to max out at 80-84 degrees.

Seem sit could have been the Bios fan curve, Was set degrees/%- 20/20 -50/60- 70/100.

If you got a spare drive maybe reload windows on that and see if still happens. If it does obviously some an issue with the board.

I should probably do that but lazy xD, if I have to I will. I ran Cinebench and Superposition benchmarks now and there were no problems, all stable fps and temps and no spiking even on the fans running the same condition as in a game. used the game option in Superposition too and no spikes. Weird that this is only happening in games. I thinking it may be my fan controller but I do not see how, and maybe I have more than one software running on my machine trying to control the fans speeds.
