So I've been looking at upgrading my LG 34UM68-P for a while now.

I've pretty much narrowed it down to either of these options.

I do some gaming when I have time, but main use for for my photography and video editing.

What would you guys choose?

As a cheaper single option, this also doesn't seem bad:

Cheers

That AOC has a VA panel, you want an IPS panel for photography.

The Dell S2719DGF is a TN panel which wont have the crisp colour of an IPS monitor.

Try get an IPS for photography

Completely missed that the Dell is TN. That's out then.

Reviews for the Acer shows it's very good for accurate colour.

I've always known that IPS is the best for colour work, but VA has come a long way.

I've checked out some current VA panels and they do great colour reproduction. It's also a struggle to get an IPS panel that also has a high refresh rate. Except for the Alienware AW3418DW , but that's another few thousand extra.

Ya Im using the LG 34" 1440p VA and the colours are pretty good. You can do some calibration to get them better. Almost the same as my previous LG 32" UW 1080p IPS which was very vibrant

Maybe go in store and physically look at the difference if its for photography work

I have this monitor: AOC CQ32G2E 31.5" 144Hz Gaming Monitor - Best Deal - South Africa

Yours is the 1-up on mine, I believe.

Must say, it's pretty incredible for gaming (FPS is fine even at a metre away, and it's amazing for ARPG/MMORPG games) and movies. Can't speak for photography, though, but I have no issues with it. My previous 144Hz (currently my secondary monitor) is a BenQ something or the other.

Yeah I've looked at thst screen as a more budget friendly option.

Glad to hear it's a good monitor as well.

I've been on ultrawide for a while now. But have wondered about going back to a normal 16:9 screen. Currently I have the 34 ultrawide and a 24 inch to watch series on while I work.
