[Wanted] Toilet shopping - Cape Town

Hey all.

Bit of a weird one, does anyone know of a place in Cape Town where I can buy a toilet at a decent price?

We recently purchased a house and need to install a bathroom downstairs. The toilets at sub R1000 are super flimsy but I also do not want to spend a massive amount on a guest bathroom.

Any suggestions would be great.

We have been to Builders, CTM and most of the stores in Paarden Island along the N1. I am starting to think I will just have to fork out their prices

That's why you need to go to your local flee market and get the blue ones with lemoene or dolfyne encased in it for eternity.

I think we are going to have to look at the 2k mark for a toilet, from some research I have heard that these 'cheaper' toilets do not flush properly, so you are always left with some toilet paper and other goodies.

Something more like this: MARILLA (MIRAGE) CC T/F SUITE INCL MECH+UREA SEAT(XTMID08A)

I guess the ideal scenario would be finding someone with a discount card somewhere

I would think flushing shouldn't have anything to do with the actual cistern, the actual flushing mechanism being of a good quality is where it counts. Toilet designs are like fairly universal and standardized, the variation is handle vs push button.
