Is this worth it swapping my boys Series X for gaming PC

Currently running 1080p 120hz monitor when gaming , ill most probably upgrade card in the latter stages

Fortnite
Apex
Minecraft

Very competent rig there. I`m a PC gamer so I may be biased but I would. A GPU upgrade to something in the GTX 3060/6600 XT - 3070ti/6700XT range would be 100% sufficient. Wouldn`t go higher if it was me.

A Series X goes for around R9k roughly.

That PC I would pay around:
GPU R2k5
CPU/RAM/mobo R3k5
PSU 1k
Storage 1k
Case 1k
So also around R9k

So semi-equivalent in pricing.

Other things to consider:
1. You have already invested in the xbox games. PC games are much cheaper in general (go on sale earlier, and you get one or two free weekly on Epic, GOG.)
2. The Xbox will retain it's value for longer than the PC.

Full disclosure: I love all gaming. I have a Switch, Wii, Xbox360, PSP, 3DS, Arcade machine, PC. Do not have a Series X nor any Playstation hardware.

It depends on what you are gona use the pc for imo.
If it's just for gaming I would rather stick with the Xbox series X over that pc as it does have better gaming performance overall.
However if you need the pc for other uses even if it's few and far between then consider the swap.
Price wise they are in the same bracket, but definitely not performance wise.

Oh, also, I do not see any screen not mouse/keyboard/etc.A
Also, PC are more niggly. They require a much steeper learning curve, not just a click and play.
