To anyone in the market for a high-tier GPU

It’s hilariously ironic how much I love OCing, and yet I’m gonna be one of the people who don’t get one XD.

If we add on shipping etc this would land at +- R32/33k so for woot to sell at a measly R26k + shipping is superb indeed

My 2c: Nice looking card, but I would rather have a 3 year warranty with a cheaper Palit card. I look at my screen 99% of the time and not inside my case.
Agree, had Galax cards in the past with RMA issues, have not had a Palit card (still have a Palit GTS250) issue yet (owned about 4 now). If you have confidence in the longevity of your product, then reflect it to the customer in your warranty. I Shall never buy a new card with only 2 years warranty (even if I plan to upgrade before then). XFX falls in the same boat ofc, so yeah FO Galax and XFX with your shitty 2 years :)

This is fair tbh. However, don’t you currently own a HOF?

Odd. Galax is a subsidiary of Palit. Strange that you had these differing experiences since both brands are from the same company.

4 people already have issues with the palit cards where power limit cannot go pass 370w Wootware and Palit have been informed.Same like how @huzidada issue was which has now been resolved

Then I shall stick with Palit. Costs less and more warranty. I load the BIOS I want and beat out most of these "high performance" cards.

Must be nice, here I am nursing my 380...🤣

@ThatGuyJD I can’t make this up, someone I’m speaking to literally is stuck at 380W on a Palit GameRock. It’s actually a common thing. 🤣

They only card I ever had die on me was a 25 month old Sapphire HD7870 GHz Edition with a 24 month warranty. An extra year would have been great! Haha

But 40-series and RDNA 3 launch next year November 🤷‍♂️.

...

May as well game with the slider maxed to 450W because if the current load isn’t high enough, the card won’t draw it regardless. If the load is high, then you’ll be able to maintain 2070-2160MHz even in the most demanding of gaming and benchmark scenarios, with a 450W-500W VBIOS. Basically nothing to worry about. In terms of benchmarks, 450W-500W is actually necessary to be competitive in Port Royal.
Still boggles the mind how much power these cards can draw these days! Diminishing returns comes to mind. Are you running at 4k? Will probably need to wait for RDNA5 for an efficient 4K card.

Zen4 launches next year too, but hey, still bought a 5900X cause it was a good deal, (and I have no GPU or Mobo to use with it 🤣)

EDIT: Can't type and quote properly on Mobile.
