It's a damn impressive showing for a 3080 though, my Tuf was maxed out at like 12300 port royal and 18800 for time spy.@baasgene in all honesty, I don't think my result will ever match up to a RTX 3080 Ti, but at least my result is not too bad for a normal MSI RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio flashed with a Suprim X bios. Sometimes I can run the card +120mhz core, but mostly +105mhz core. That is basically it for this card. Port Royal was run with +120mhz core.

In all honesty if you lose performance at a certain memory speed then yes, you need to clock down a bit. Mine is good all the way up to +1250mhz but for my runs it was +1200mhz. Try +800 and see if different and if better try +1000 and go on as such till you lose performance. It's a damn impressive showing for a 3080 though, my Tuf was maxed out at like 12300 port royal and 18800 for time spy.
I'm not sure if my 3080 Ti can go a bit further though, I only ran +650mhz on the ram I didn't really have a look if it can go further. I just remember that the 3080 starting losing performance at like +700mhz. Maybe I must see if I can push a bit more tonight.
Did a random run now to check power draw:I can see that you got a great silicon lottery chip, looking at the average clock shows a power limitation even though the game rock has 3x pins! Still a stunning performance from Palit though.
What is your power draw in Afterburner? Mine draws 450w basically (at max power limit which is 112%, I actually leave it on stock and just oc the ram for my everyday config so it draws like 400w on stock and still scores 10600 graphics score on extreme which is damn impressive)
That's seriously high for a 3080 it's actually scary, is that on water or just the original air cooler?@baasgene well I sort of figured out how to get my CPU score higher and funny enough it was by disabling SMT, yes so the CPU running 16 cores and 16 threads not 32 threads. The difference was actually really shocking to me.
This not my best run as GZPU score lower but cpu score the best as yet.

Hi, still original air cooler. Yes these cards need power to keep clocks high. But I'm happy regardless. Did another run this morning with cooler temps clearly visible in this run. That's seriously high for a 3080 it's actually scary, is that on water or just the original air cooler?
I can imagine your power draw is well over 400w to sustain 2080mhz on time spy, meaning a 3080 Ti/3090 technically needs 500w to acheive the same since mine can sustain only 2040-2050mhz on 455w.. This is one power hungry generation
On port royal my card could sustain 2075mhz, but I didn't actually check what the power draw was.
Your CPU is so close to mine... Also, the 3080Ti kicks my ass haha...Almost broke 20K, Fixed my memory timings huge difference in CPU score...

Hi, yes Extreme works even without a 4K monitor, it still runs 4K or push through the pixels as such which is clear from the score you will get.Honestly we should be moving on from standard timespy, the time spy extreme test has far less variance. It's also at 4k where the 3080/Ti/90 series shines the most.
Does extreme work if you don't have a 4k monitor though? Not sure, it probably does.
Will need to post this then this evening... Give me a few min....Hi, yes Extreme works even without a 4K monitor, it still runs 4K or push through the pixels as such which is clear from the score you will get.
But look at your cpu score, now it accurately reflects your increased cores over my 5900x.

Forgot to disable my gsync so time measurement is fucked, but at least you can see the cpu score difference
Fucking gsync, here's my old score which is only 50 less anywayYour results are hidden LOL
20 to 25% more on CPU. The 3080Ti gooi mielies hoor LOL. But not worth the price difference for me HAHAFucking gsync, here's my old score which is only 50 less anyway

It cost me R2k.. the 3080 without lhr was worth good dough till like 2 weeks ago, still worth a good chunk today though20 to 25% more on CPU. The 3080Ti gooi mielies hoor LOL. But not worth the price difference for me HAHA
If I change, I change to 3080Ti Strix OC or no change. I paid in the R22k marker for my 3080, so NO.It cost me R2k.. the 3080 without lhr was worth good dough till like 2 weeks ago, still worth a good chunk today though

Low scores, but fairly decent for a 3070 Ti I think.
Still busy tinkering...I will be sure to update this later today...
