My time keeps changing to 2 - 3 hours behind. My region/language etc is all set up correctly. I believe this is why some of my updates stop halfway. ( time changes mid update.) Should I check/change my cmos battery even though it is supposed to sync time with the internet?

did you try this yet.

run: services.msc
look for: windows time
R-click on it, click properties
set startup type to automatic click start and apply.

I haven't tried that. I have tried to trigger timesync at startup in task scheduler though but it still falls out of sync. Will look into that before I replace the cmos battery. It is a fresh win 10 install though and the first time i've come across such an issue

weird issue that man, one would think that the standby current from the PSU would prevent this issue from occurring, even if the battery is flat.

1) Go to BIOS. Set time and date manually.
2) Boot into OS (windows?) and set ntp server to one of these: Time Servers in South Africa
3) Make sure timezone is correct.
4)...
5) Profit.
Will try this tonight. I have set up in bios. I should probably look to see if it changes around in bios

In that order:

1. Check timezone. Verify that it works.
2. Scan PC with Malwarebytes. Verify that it works.
3. Replace CMOS battery. Verify that it works.

If none of that helps, I have no idea.
