Link: UP mini 2 3D Printer - 3D Printing Systems South Africa
This printer is the ultimate plug 'n play, just works out the box printer to learn on, with many fantastic features, including Wifi connectivity, HEPA filtration, Enclosed case (for printing ABS this helps keep ambient temperature in the case high to mitigate the effects of warping) and more. You can see all the features here
That said I do have reasons for wanting to upgrade, which I will go over here so you can decide if this is the right purchase for you:
I have learned a lot, and had a lot of fun using this printer, but now I'm ready for something more customisable and with a larger print volume.
I have upgraded the print bed to a glass print bed, and I have customised material settings that I have found to be preferable to the ones supplied by tiertime. I will of course give you all these settings and I'll guide you through any teething problems you may have as you learn about 3D printing, should you require any assistance. I've also found the supplier of the printer (3D Printing Systems) to be very supportive and helpful when I've had questions.
I am very glad to have had this printer to ease me into the world of 3D printing, as my last printer was a kit printer that had a success rate of... 5% (that was way back in the day). Comparing that to my current success rate of >95% with this printer, it's just a very satisfying piece of tech.

- The print volume is somewhat on the small side at 120x120x120 (a limitation I learned to overcome by printing things in sections when I wanted to print big and I have a rifle sized VR gun stock to prove it)
- The proprietary software works perfectly straight out the box, but lacks certain features that other slicers have. Tiertime is currently in beta with UP Studio 3, and it's looking promising - with all the complexity you can expect from other slicers, but as it's still in beta, it is not as reliable or smooth as the completed Up Studio 2.
- The build is a very beautiful neat package, but because of that it lacks the ability to customise it in certain ways, such as mounting a camera for creating printing timelapse videos.
