How do you get windows to see them as separate devices, are you using some 3rd party app?

Um, they ARE 2 separate devices...
Yeah but when you go into a game, how do you get them to behave like 2 controllers with unique buttons to each. I'm doing a terrible job of asking this question...so if each controller has 10 buttons, then u have a total of 20 buttons

Correct, they are 2 seperate devices, so if you went in game you would have 20 buttons, it would just be down to you to then map out the buttons as you desire.

But, yeah, you will be able to use all of the button's on each joystick seperatly without any conflicts.

Thrustmaster also has driver software called TARGET, which can do some pretty cool thing's, allowing both joysticks to be seen as 1 device if a game does not support multiple input devices, Redout is an example of this, but you would even then still have access to all buttons to use / map seperatly.

I hope that help's a bit, otherwise please feel free to ask more questions, I'm more than happy to help. :)

Thanks that's super helpful, I recall trying it once at a buddies place on a few games but couldn't get the buttons to register as separate sets. It was a dual logitech 3d pro setup. Other than star citizen, are there any other games you'd recommend for a dual stick setup

Elite Dangerous is great with dual sticks & Odyssey, basically their FPS dlc, is coming out a bit later this year, so I think it might be interesting to jump into while we wait for work on Star Citizen to progress.

Then obviously, Star Citizen ❤️ , piloting a ship down to the surface of a planet and bringing it in to land with dual sticks is how I feel the game was intended to be played. :)

Everspace & Everspace 2, which was released on the 18th of Jan, if you'd like to enjoy a bit more of a single player experience.

Redout, which is kind of like the spiritual successor of the wipeout series, from ye olde PlayStation days, is quite an interesting experience with dual sticks, being a racing game. I think most anti-gravity racing games could also be mapped out to work with dual sticks, there are a couple on steam.

And then I did like 1 mission in MechWarrior 5, which was also very cool, and I believe MechWarrior Online also has support for dual sticks.

Other than that, pretty much anywhere you start getting to like 6 DOF, dual sticks start coming into their own. So pretty much anything in space, or underwater for example.

You could of course also always plug just a single stick in and enjoy something like War thunder’s simulation battles, or a light spot of bush flying in flight sim 2020 for e.g. I doubt there are many things as satisfying as shooting down another thinking, breathing human player.

Dual sticks are a completely different experience to anything else, especially when coupled with something like SC's physics, you can move freely through space, laterally & vertically, while pitching & yawing, there's so much to manage & there's definitely a learning curve to it, but so satisfying once you get it down. :)

The logitech 3d pro would react differently to this set, the above mentioned games have support for TM products hence the reason for them being able to work independently.

The T.10000M's also use contactless Hall Effect sensors with much higher resolution than the Logitech's potentiometers, so the Thrustmaster sticks should have a longer life & be more accurate. :)

The Logitech 3d Pro competes with the Thrustmaster T Flight Stick X.

Logitech does not have a joystick is this class. They jump directly to HOTAS.

So, for dual stick, this is the way to go...

To the top!

These retail for like R2899, so R2200 is a really good deal actually. :)

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ friends refuse to play Star Citizen with me, no body to fly around with, putting these back up for sale to fund the next 20 Apex battlepass's... wish me luck gents.

no one wants essentially new joysticks for a R700 discount? hmm.

Please somebody buy this so I can waste the money on a Quest 2... thank you. :)
