In my opinion, local pubg server might be too little, too late.
But that doesn't mean I don't want any, I still play pubg every chance I get. Just in the beginning I always had some friends to play with, enough for a few squads even but now, ill be lucky to find one.
Hence why I try and add any random SA player that's looking for players (that never really works out well, difference in play styles just doesn't work so well in this game)

For me personally it is also too little, too late, but I have a lot of friends that play the game and it's just so much fun to play with mates even though the game pisses me off.

RoE reminded me too much of a console / mobile game ...

There's really only a handful of quality of life improvements over PUBG and by the looks PUBG guys are pushing those kinda updates now ( finally )

RoE won't have local servers
Missing crucial game modes and styles - I only play FPP e.g.

Loads of other games coming out with potential !

I meant it more in jest. You cant be the best on 200ms ping, but you can be really good! Especially in games whose 'netcode' is subpar.

On a more serious note,iff you review your gameplay you will see that there is much more room for improvement, regardless of ping.

Just an FYI. We all have different play-styles. The way I play may not work for you. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the way I play. I'm not too focused on what goes on behind me. You'll notice I don't look behind me too often and I don't just run to where ever I hear gunshots. That way I have made more second and third places than when I'm too focused on where someone may be.

Battle Royale games are 90% luck and 10% skill. You can be however good you are if you only have a shotgun or a QBZ, a noob with a KAR98 or an M24 and an 8X scope is going to give it to you up the butt.

When I enter a pubg lobby and play for keeps: "Ya'all need Jesus band-aids, cause im bringing the hurt!!" then proceeds to hot drop and die instantly due to weapons not spawning (+200ms ping)

I agree with you that that part is boring but what I hate even more is where for me personally it comes to the majority luck factor, is where you get shit loot, chase the circle for 20 minutes and get sniped by someone with a KAR98, M24 or that sniper in the crate when you finally make it to the circle

I came up against him in Crysis 3 and COD - really good player ... perhaps TOO good ... then again i was scrub rank and he played with a bunch of okes from the same clan....

100%, you can essentially make yourself a god with the ping, because if you focus on improving and try different strats and tactics in-game, if servers do happen to come here, it will take a little adjusting to the responsiveness of the server, and once you have that down(which won't take long since you know and understand the game) you will be above average at the very least.
