By far one of my all time favorite games, and i keep going back to it and restarting over

Fantastic story, fun combat, and endless scenes and ways to play

Looking forward to this. I have the first 2 games but never quite got into them like others.

The saddest thing about this trailer is that Geralt looks more like Superman than Superman ever did.

I'm pretty peeved about this. As a long time Witcher fan (played all the games, read all the books, etc) I have a few issues.
Hopefully there will be a canonical reason for this, but:

1) The witcher medallion looks nothing like it should
2) Where is Geralt's second sword? It's literally a staple point of the series
3) Showing Yen before she used sorcery to change her looks kind of ruins the illusion. They never showed it in the games or went into detail in the books for a reason. (personal gripe, fine)
4) *Disclaimer: I'm in no way getting into racist territory here* The casting choices are very poor. It is a Polish folk-tail, i.e. Slavic mythology, setting, etc, yet they had to shoe-horn in actors of nationalities and races that simply do not fit in the Witcher universe. There are other characters that come from other parts of the witcher continent that would make sense to be from different races, heck, even bring in new characters if flexing political correctness is that important, but damn.. to take main characters like Triss, Yen, and Fringilla, who the BOOKS DESCRIBE the appearance of, and change their races to fit some agenda, is simply not sticking to the source material, to the point where it makes NO thematic sense.
5) The Nilfgaardian armour looks like trash, not the proud black and gold it's meant to be.

There are aspects I do like, so I'm trying not to cr*p all over this.. e.g. I think Henry will play a perfectly fine Geralt, but I just really REALLY don't want Netflix to sully my favorite series of all time.

@LukeHawk, if I recall I read somewhere that he does get the 2nd sword as a plot point or something of the sort

The Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich hinted strongly that Geralt will pull that second sword out at the right time on the Netflix series. Here’s what Hissrich said on Twitter earlier today:

Yeah I thought there would be some reason. Thats good news then

Yep, as apprehensive as I was, I'm really enjoying it. Very pleased. It's pretty much following the books, with some added stuff here and there, specifically yens backstory.
Still hate Triss though. but I've always been team Yenifer, so meh.

Yeah, i thought i'd span the series across a few days...i started with the first episode and then watched all of them back to back.
Great series, probably my favorite for the year.

Liking the series. Playing the Witcher 3 while watching the series is pretty cool because they mention stuff in the series I've just experienced in the game etc.

I was surprised with Henry's portrayal, since I had hoped they'd somehow convince Mads Mikkelsen to play Geralt. The series has felt quite close to the Witcher 3, which makes me happy
:)

some corny acting and a little bit of SABC mini series dialogue at times but dont care....love it!!!!
