The Future of VR is looking good

There's been plenty "game changer" headsets that "rival" anything and everything on the consumer market along the way. I don't think this is any exception. Making a prototype is one thing, mass producing and going to market is another. Not to mention targeting a specific demographic.
Also, maybe just me, but I can't take anything a guy with black nail polish has to say seriously. That is a guy right? Hard to tell what's what these days.

Hope this one though is truly a deviation from the norm and gets mass produced and sells for remotely close to what is considered affordable. Pricing would likely prove the biggest barrier to entry, not to mention sheer system requirements to get a remotely decent experience.

Yeah I agree. This is far from a consumer VR headset.
What makes this unique is the Lidar mapping in your surroundings... No more crappy see though effect.
As these different tech becomes more affordable (hopefully) we will see lidar being featured in more affordable headsets in the future.
This will then breach the gap between VR, WMR and AR.
Well thats if they decide to take it that route

Going on the post title alone :

The future of VR might be way more dystopic than I thought possible. Worlds going absolutely bonkers.
