Hello Miners,
I wanted to share a product that I have been using, that my home mining operation benefits from tremendously.
Being conscious about the electricity while keeping your rigs cool is a very important factor when it comes to home mining, as I'm sure you are aware.
Seeing as mining requires a lot of electricity, sometimes an airconditioning unit is just not the answer or not even feasible. (especially when you would rather want to use the extra power that you have available on some more miners)
Long story short,
I started using GMC Watercooling units, and they have proven to be very useful to keep my mining rigs cool while being very efficient on electricity.
I call it, The Dual Miner Water Cooling kit.
The GMC Watercooling units use water to cool the air, combined with a fan that can then blow cold air onto your rigs.
You can simply connect a water hose to the unit, ensuring the unit stays filled with water all the time, requiring no intervention.
The AB50 can keep an entire stack of GPU's cold, while only running at 250W (the Watt of a GPU)
I have tested both the GMC AB30 and AB50 water-cooling units, and what I found was:
My rigs run much cooler now throughout the day.
The water/vapor element doesn't damage the cards, interestingly enough, the water element keeps more dust away from your computer components.
Two AB50's can become loud so this might be a stage to move units into a room that can absorb noise.
The AB50 can be a great product to keep your rigs cool in a dedicated space that can absorb some noise.
What are you using to keep your miners cool?
