The watch dogs legion freebie ends 29 October and will suck as most people around the world dont really have cards ... wonder if they will extend it. Preload happens 5pm this afternoon

I've got my code from Wootware but TBH don't know if I'm gonna bother using it.
I wanna sign up with Uplay+ for R330 pm to get the ultimate editions for WD: Legion and AC Valhalla instead.

Yikes. This is why I'm willing to wait for as long as it takes to get my hands on a proper quality MSI/Asus RTX 3080 card. I'm working on getting a sexy ROG STRIX one
Oh so you mean like the Asus Strix 5700 and 5700XT which had massive cooling problems? That Asus denied until they were forced to admit it and fix it? Same goes for MSI and Gigabyte.

Yeah, I have read numerous reports of rgb bugging out on all models, Asus strix and tuf included, even on my Gigabyte 3080 the rgb gets stuck sometimes, it however reverts back to normal after a restart.

All 3080's are plagued by rgb issues, and for that matter even non 3080's. The zotac 3080 is a good card and rgb issues are not indicative of a inferior card design, I am also aware that zotac is busy sorting the problem out.

FYI, this is the power draw reported by my Corsair AX860i when using the OCCT Power Test (non AVX) on my 5GHz 9900k (180w) and overclocked 3080 (350w).

650 watt peaks !

Be thankful we can backorder in SA.

The guys in the US just have to set up alerts for new stock on Amazon/Newegg and try grab one before each batch sells out, no preorders/backorders.

I feel for the guys who are still waiting for their cards, especially those who have sold already and are on their onboard GPUs or laptops.

The next 3 weeks are just full of new games, Watch Dogs: Legion, Dark Pictures Little Hope, Dirt 5, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Cyberpunk 2077.
"laughs in EK equipped 2080Ti"

Too soon, Juniors....

Yip. The RGB on the fan side is mostly dead. The RGB on the backplate is still fine.

A lot of places in the UK have completely stopped pre-orders.
What a few of them are doing is that the queues that are completed, any excess stock is being offered to customers in current queues so that they can move the stock.
Very few have a drop that goes out, and you have about 6 minutes to get through the whole process.

I on the other hand managed to get an order in at 14:30 for a Zotac 3080... I am 16th in the queue... Ordered on launch day.

I have absolutely no idea when i shall be receiving my card...

Its frustrating waiting around, especially considering I'm 600£ out of pocket.

This is my normal everyday mode, +500mhz memory and +130mhz core.

It basically averages between 1950mhz and 2ghz, and so silent too.

Port royal score is 11915 in this mode.

After 20 hours in red dead 2, 25 hours in ffxv and around 15 hours in HZD, I think its safe to say its game stable.

With the vsync locked at 60hz it always sits at 2055mhz sometimes peaking at 2070mhz because obviously gpu load isn't max, I know my card can do up to 2160mhz stable so I'm sure I can still push extra on the core but its totally unnecessary especially given the power limit. I like to leave a good margin for safety.
