Waited almost a month for a new PC from Evetech. Delivered today. Turn PC on. No beep from motherboard, no POST nothing. Just fans spinning. I don't even want to think how long it will take these people to resolve my problem :( they really disappointed me. Also, original order was a mess, didn't have the GPU I ordered in stock, slow to reply etc. Really annoyed at this time. @Evetech Support

What board is it and what cpu?

I really don't think a customer buying a full desktop pc prebuilt by a company and paying extra for that service should have to deal with things like that.
If it needed a bios update evtech sjoild have done it. They can't be sooooo incredibly bad that they don't bother to turn something on. I mean they are bad.... But idk about that bad.
Chances are something died in transit. Evetechs shipping is kinda kak. They shipped a psu back to me just bare inside a plastic courier bag. No attempt even at bubble wrap. That I shipped nicely packed in a box with closed cell foam. That's what you get for R150 bucks of shipping that you pay them.

Pull all ram out the board and turn it on. No screaming beeps means theres almost certainly something wrong with either the motherboard or psu

Whats the specs on the board and cpu 9/10 probably needs a bios update

Most of those upgrade kits need bios updates.

If only Wootware will start doing upgrade bundles. I love browsing those.
They seem like great package deals but most of the time they will pair a decent CPU with a terrible Motherboard.

You're still better off just buying individual components if you can.

lol i told @Bureaucrat this morning via whatsapp, that if he has an Intel cpu ending with an F, he will have FOKOL display unless paired with a gpu. Turns out he's got the F version, waiting on gpu now xD.

I did ask for the specs a while back as i thought it could be that of bios that needed flashing but glad its been resolved.

Not like @Evetech Support actually assisted in anyway. Top notch support there boooi's

OK gentlemen. Installed my gpu this morning and STILL FUCKOL post.

Reinstalled cpu, Ram, all connections to motherboard reaseted etc - AGAIN. Then it miraculously booted up.

GREAT BUILD QUALITY EVETECH!! :-/

My advise to their technicians: Stop playing with your chodes and focus on the job you get paid to do. I was able to sort this out myself, and I'm a guy with minimal experience in this stuff. How they fucked up like this is beyond me.

Thank you for everyone's assistance. Carbonite is a nice place.

Don't buy from Shitech!

Your service is horrendous.
Even during this pandemic, companies like @Wootware Computers are able to service their customers PROPERLY!

Enjoy the new machine bud and praying to the new gods and the old you don't have anymore issues.

Shipping a fully assembled PC is risky business. It's not outside the realm of possibility for a previously working PC to not fire up properly until everything is reseated.

They should have warned buyers about F-series chips though.

To prevent cases/threads like these popping up. You have to plan ahead in business.

Although I haven't seen the webpage for the bundle OP bought, I can see how confusion may arise around a pre-built PC that needs more... well "building" to work.

LOL. I wanted to order a full pc from them for my cuz that knows nothing about pc inner workings. R150 to ship and R500 to assemble. i told him to just pick up the parts and come over with a 6 pack... Sorted in 20 minutes. Screw R500 for assembly

IMO most people don't think of these things, companies do however have to cater for everyone and inform where they can. Any idiot can make 2 minute noodles but Maggie dares not take away the instructions from the pack.
