What is the best way to test custom sleeved PSU cables before actually using them in your PC?
Would hate to get sleeving to GPU and have a faulty wire short the thing esp in today's wonderful market.

well if it's custom cables and not extensions, best would be to compare to stock as well

aside from the multimeter testing

A multi meter is an easy test but unfortunately it not super accurate, or at least in my case it wasn't, tested continuity and tested resistance.(maybe I missed something)

Had a custom cable causing endless headache that I tested with a multi meter and all looked good, but once you plug it in and the GPU goes into load it would black screen, tested the cable on 3 GPUs and 2 PSUs with same result.

I dont own a multi meter so looking into PSU testers as well. They seem to show exactly whats going on (well the decent looking ones at least).

Looking at the Thermaltake Dr Power II. Imported its roughly R800 so might be worth the investment. Better than loosing a 3070 🤣
