I got an SMS a few weeks ago to inform me that they have successfully restored my ADSL service. I am on Fibre. With MWeb.In the exact same situation.
Moved from CT to PE. Cancelled the line back then already as I'd be moving to fibre.
Then 5 months ago, i started being billed again for the line and now struggling since then to get this resolved, infuriating to say the least.
