Hi all,

My wife has just finished her 180 hour TEFL course and we are looking at upgrading her laptop.
Some sites say any laptop will work, other places say a I5, 8gig ram and at least a 256gig SSD.

Does anyone here currently do the online teaching, and if yes, what spec laptops are being used. We do not wish to spend more than we need to at this time.

From other posts we have seen people advice that you get a separate camera and microphone, anyone have some suggestions on this as well?

Minimal Technical Requirements for Online Teaching
HD High Definition Camera: high-resolution for video conference
CPU: minimal Intel Core i5
RAM: minimal 8GB
HDD or SSD Storage: minimal 128GB
Wifi: Wi-Fi 802.11ac
Operation System: Windows 10+ or Mac OS X recommended
Screen Size: Screen size 13.3-inch HD or larger will definitely preserve your eyesight. Anything smaller, then you might have trouble finding your students.
Microphone – the audio quality, but this can be replaced and done better by the top headsets for online teachers.
(for headphone/headset - a noise-canceling headphone is more advantageous)
