If you're having issues crediting your account after the recent mobile app update, all you need to do is be signed into the app while PayFast is processing the payment. If you're not signed in, it'll automatically sign you out on PayFast and the app will essentially prompt you to EFT X amount of Rands to nowhere. Not entirely sure if the balance would still reflect on PayFast's end and if your account will be credited, but I tend not to be naive with payment platforms because, in my experience, it won't work out in your favour.
But otherwise, as long as you're actively signed in on the mobile app, the PayFast prompt should come through without issue, and the PayFast window won't terminate your session. I hope this helps.
