If your Switch is patched, a modchip is the only way to get homebrew/backups running. If it's unpatched but you're sick of re-glitching and babysitting battery drain every time you boot, a modchip solves that too. OLED consoles included.

• No jigs needed — everything is soldered directly, so there's nothing relying on pogo-pin contact over time.
• Each console is fully cleaned internally during installation.
• All thermal paste is replaced to ensure optimal cooling and longevity.

For OLED consoles, I use a direct "Kamikaze" installation method. I modify a specific point on the main board to allow a direct connection, which is considerably more reliable than adapter-based methods. (Sounds scary, but done right, it removes the need for the adapters that are known to be unreliable!)

Warranty​

• If a fault occurs that is directly related to the workmanship or supplied parts within 3 months of the work being done, I will repair it at no charge, as required under CPA provisions (Section 57). If the issue is determined to be unrelated to the work performed, repair costs and shipping will be for the owner's account.
• The device must not be tampered with after work is completed. A warranty void sticker may be applied. If you wish to open the device afterward, contact me beforehand so I can guide you to prevent accidental damage.
• You will be expected to test and confirm functionality upon receiving your device back.

Yessir.
I’ve had too many issues with the Dat0 adapter in the past.

EDIT: Almost a year later, I finally understood that this person might have wondered what Kamikazi method meant, not if that's what I do...

For anyone reading this in the future:
Kamikazi method is when you physically drill into the motherboard of the switch to get to a data "wire" that isn't normally easily accessible. This allows you to solder to it directly, instead of relying on a little adapter thingy pushed under a chip in hopes of touching the correct connection with a metal contact.

It's a lot more risky but considerably more reliable. If done correctly, by far the superior way of doing it.

No all is good. Thank you though!

I have no problem doing Dat0 installs but they are inherently worse than direct soldering. Hence why I don’t recommend choosing that method of install.

You can get it to work great, but I don’t intend on keeping a switch with me for a long time to do proper testing.
Adapter is a bigger risk for return consoles.
Kamikazi is set and forget (generally).

The HATS pack is free and not big on space, it would be a huge investment for you to at east buy cheap small sized sd cards (for customers who forget to add one) to get everything basic on board first. I'm betting if they send you their switch, they most likely have a sd card you can use already regardless. It's a lot of money and very little effort! A modded switch is confusing at first, so any extras will build customer love and loyalty <3 <3 <3 The customer puts all their trust in you!

I appreciate the suggestion!

Unfortunately, due to various reasons, I don’t offer pre-configured SD setups or HATS packs as part of my service (nor do I particularly recommend it)

Part of that is simply because I’m not allowed to provide certain content preloaded, but another big reason is that I genuinely believe customers benefit from learning the basics themselves instead of relying entirely on a pre-made setup.

Things go wrong sometimes. SD cards fail (especially fake ones), updates break compatibility, installs get corrupted, or users accidentally damage files. Having at least a basic understanding of how the setup works makes those situations far less stressful and much easier to recover from.

I’m also personally cautious about relying on third-party packs, since they can include unnecessary homebrew or files I can’t fully verify.

That said, I always do my best to help customers afterwards by answering questions and giving guidance wherever I can. Most people end up learning quickly, and so far I’ve been lucky enough to have very happy customers 😊
