Good morning guys.

We have positions open for Support Engineers in our company.
We are mainly focused on telecommunications.

Position Available: Support Engineer
Number of Positions: 1+
Employment type: Permanent
Salary: Skill related
Perks: You will be part of an awesome team. Parking everywhere. Free coffee.
Starting Date: Asap
Location: Fourways / Midrand (depends where we need you for the day, so you might need to drive)
Years Experience: 1+
Job Description/Requirements: The following skills will be advantageous to your application
- Linux (you don't have to be a sys-admin, just know what linux is and how NOT TO rm -rf on a server)
- MySQL (you have to run queries, you don't have to be a DBA)
- Oracle DB (also know how to run queries, you don't have to know PL/SQL dev or DBA)
- Java (you dont have to write code, but understanding it and being able to read it would be advantageous)
- Application containers i.e Glassfish / Payara

- You need to be able to easily understand stuff, I need someone that I can teach over Skype or other communication platforms. I am in the process of moving to Cape Town so
won't be able to micro manage everything you do

I had a good laugh at this thank you. You could go one better and rm -rf *
 
Well technically rm / -rf would be -worse- as just executing rm -rf would only clear out files/folders in the directory you are working in...

You only need sudo if you aren't root or if you are in the sudo'ers list... I'm always root :p

I have had a couple of times where my techies wants to remove files and even after telling them not to use it they still do. Its funny looking at the bash history afterwards
"rm -rf file. *
ls file*
pwd*
ls file*
pwd
cd /
pwd
ls file*find . -name file*
ls file*
cd /
pwd
ls *
ls * |more
pwd
cd /
pwd
ls file* "
that's from a server where it actually happened
