Description of Bad Deal: Seller sold the device with false information, also untrustworthy.

Wed 30 Jan: We had chatted about swapping his drone for my laptop, all is well. He tells me the drone has been flown once and was bought in december.

Fri 1 Feb: I ship the laptop to him and he organised they collect from him.

Sat 2 Feb: He states he is busy and will later send me the waybill number.

Mon 4 Feb: He sends me the waybill number, although Sunny from Ichigo messages me and tells me that he dropped it off on monday with other parcels.

Tue 5 Feb: I ask why the waybill has no details and ask if its maybe because it was only sent yesterday and confront him about lying to my face about when he dropped it off. (Im a small business owner and I'm very understanding when it comes to not getting around to doing things) BUT DONT LIE TO MY FACE. and then he ignores my confrontation.

Wed 6 Feb: The parcel gets delivered to a completely wrong town, Sunny then had to make some calls and redirect the parcel for me (excellent service from his side)

Fri 8 Feb: I receive the parcel in an atrocious box ( attached will be images ). I then see there is no Invoice in the box as promised and besides that, the blades of the drone have had way more then one flight and never mind the battery having over 20 charge cycles. I message him asking for the invoice which he said he SENT in the box. He then tells me to give takealot the serial number they will help me.

Wed 13 Feb: I speak to toxxyc regarding the entire matter of selling something saying its new and then it looks like it has been used for a long time. Initially i wasn't wanting a partial refund, but i bought this as a gift for my nephew and i could not give such a used device away as a gift and with no warranty. I let the trader know that im not happy and im wanting a refund for the props and i still want the invoice.

Fri 15 Feb: I ask if he has found the invoice he was going to try and source, he ignores me.

Tue 19 Feb: I ask him to refund me 500 rand so i can get new props and to "Cover warranty", once again ignores me

Wed 20 Feb: He tells me check with DJI for warranty and it came with one extra pair, NO it came with one extra prop, a pair is two. Also it is missing a extra prop and the ones are all scuffed and sliced.

and here i am, making the thread which i didn't want to happen.

@Stephan Lettenga when did you ship the item, was it flown more than twice and where is the invoice/POP?
 
I asked for the battery health, I just looked where it said current status. I didn’t think twice on examining every fine detail since he stated it was flown once. Flown once means once. Not 20 times

I did fly it more then twice and the invoice i couldnt get because it was bought as gift. I shouldn't have stated that it was flown twice and told him i will send the invoice with, but takealot will pick up the serial number of the drone.

So you lied about the condition, the age and the fact that you don't have the POP or invoice. Please refund @keenen in full, including the shipment cost as he didn't get what he paid for. You can then send a courier to pick up your drone.

This is the fifth "meh" deal you've done. I suggest you pull up your socks - this is not how we deal on Carbonite.

I traded him the laptop, I have already sold the drone for 4500 rand here locally. I landed up buying my nephew a PS4 slim in NEW condition off of facebook. Like i said to your before toxxyc, I didn't want a refund. Just for people to be aware of him selling "Flown once" devices.

Ah, I see. Well, let the Feedback Rating do the talking. @Stephan Lettenga - take note - 5 / 26 being not positive is a bad thing.
 
Just to mention; Takealot doesn't track the serial number of drones and you can get any invoice from your account online, if not it can also be asked for from Takealot by the original buyer.

Making me believe that the seller isn't the original owner (until proven otherwise)...
 
No, I'm not the original owner, I got it givin as gift. I thought i can maybe ask them if i can get the invoice for drone.
 
Even better, i get a call on Saturday morning from the gent who i sold the drone to. Saying that his son was flying the drone and it just lost signal and never returned home. I think it was due to the known issue with the battery that falls out. I sold it to him and he knows i don't have the invoice. He is going to contact DJI and try his luck there, this wouldn't be on my conscious if i actually received what was promised.
 
You cant fly it where there is lots of interference and rather fly on 2.4 Ghz less interference. , battery that falls out? never had that issue? I asked my friend if he heard bout this Issue, he has owned all the drones. Before you fly make sure there isn't interference and the app tell you if you are going out of range, and interference on the channels.
 
This is not a support thread, if I asked how to fly a drone I would make a second thread. What I'm trying to "insinuating" its that I'm going to go through unnecessary drama with the person I sold it to because I don't have the invoice. I can easily tell the guy that its not my fault and too bad. But why when i can and should get the invoice from you.
 
So why are you trying to make me look bad every time, you shoved the problem to someone else and calling me out again. I told you I don't have the invoice.

I cannot trade the items back, but you have never said sorry i don't have the invoice and cannot get it... Instead you keep saying you'd try and get it. Have you tried? Since its a gift surely you could tell the person that gifted it that it needs the invoice because it has a fault or whatever.
