I couldn't see this posted on the forum, apologies if it has.

This looks unbelievable. Overwhelming is an understatement.

It's looking really good, can't wait. Might actually pre-order / day 1 purchase which I usually don't do. I'm very keen.

I was honestly expecting it to be bigger than 125GB.

Game Pass <3

Got a digital copy key for this with my gpu. Not planning on playing it though. How much would you sell this for though?

Review embargo lifts this evening.

Preloads live on all platforms.

Premium edition will be playable from tomorrow, rest of us on the 6th.

My favourite part of all of this is how Game Pass removed its 14-day trial option just in time for the launch :ROFLMAO: I imagine there'd be more than a few people hoping to chain themselves to their desks for those 14 days to try finish the game.

Reviews look strong. Not Baldur's Gate strong, but Elder Scrolls and Fallout needed time to mature too.

Meh, glad I learned my lesson back with EA's BF and what a disappointment that was in terms of buying pre-release and this one can get some time in the oven. For the most part it looks like some interesting bits with a bunch of space to run around in, them loading screens are disappointing for me, I don't see the point in the ship if you can't fly it down onto the planet & off it xD

Hopefully it gets good support and gets refined over a year or two.

I have been watching Shroud stream it on Twitch. He is currently live. Seems to run fine, looks good and the gunplay seems fun too. I'm definitely giving it a go on Gamepass. I just finished The Outer Worlds Spacer's Choice so looking forward to dropping into something new.

Lekker ding hierdie.

Found a locker which had a box of tissues and hand cream in it, so it's very much a game @Thanatos_ZA will enjoy.
I do it OG style... no cream, just tears....

My only issue is too many damn games.
Destiny 2 (current season is fun again)
Diablo 4 (25% increased gold and XP)
Starfield
and then also Armored Core 6 which looks amazing

Destiny 2 (current season is fun again) - SHIT, STOP WASTING TIME ON THIS
Diablo 4 (25% increased gold and XP) - LEKKER, BUT GRINDY
Starfield - DO IT NOW
and then also Armored Core 6 which looks amazing - LOOKS KAK
Ii have helped you prioritize.

I'm disappointed there's no alien species 🙆 or galactic federation so I'm keeping my virginity till the rerelease of Cyberpunk

Will revisit when it's fully modded with space titties!

Most of what I've seen on YouTube is it crushing GPUs.
It's a bit of a fatty I'll agree. FSR/DLSS help though, and we can probably turn settings down. But I'm playing at 1440p Max because turning down settings is for people who don't CUD properly.

/cries in poverty

How much FPS are you getting roughly at 1440P max?

I will have to check again later to give you real numbers. In the opening scene indoors I was getting 100-110FPS, but when I got outside it was definitely lower. I know the city is a big knock as well, so I'm not sure offhand.

It was definitely playable without many major dips or anything, it was smooth but definitely not 100.

Can't see my 6600 XT achieving that even at 1080p. Kinda funny because in the old Fallout76 engine the fans don't even activate because the card doesn't get hot enough.

Hopefully it will be enough to rock out with you Buzz Lightyear out. FSR should cover any gaps.

Did anybody get their Starfield key via other outlets besides Steam?
Is CDkeys.com legit, or in same boat as G2A that does the whole illegal stolen key route?

Cheers

Please still use the normal common sense, but I've bought from both without any issues.

IMHO cdkeys is a step above g2a, dont know if its because the website is 100x times better or if its just the experience of not being force fed g2a premium.

Just make sure you use a seller with good reviews on g2a and you should be fine.

Quite a few people selling the AMD keys on carb though, that would have been first prize for me.

Shadow quality is a killer. Seeing decent gains dropping it from Ultra to High, and it doesn't seem like much of a difference. Interesting to see if HWUnboxed or Digital Foundry do an optimisation guide.

FSR is a must, thankfully it looks okay at 4K if you bump the sharpening way high.

Gotta love how every youtube review is mainly "i have 100 hours in this game already" check my video out. in which i imagine they get a free key given by Besthada to the youtuber/steamer ( in which they usually ask you not smack talk their game or never get a early access to their games again ) but otherwise from a few bugs, looks solid. will get it on game pass for R80

It's hard to call an average, performance varies a decent amount. I turned shadows down to High which did make a decent impact. Without looking at numbers and using only my eyes (the real test of performance) - it's buttery smooth, no hitching, obvious frame-time spikes or anything else. It feels like a solid 70-80FPS I'd say, though I turn the numbers off and just enjoy the game.
