Hey Carbs!

So as mentioned earlier, here is the second build log for 2018!

In collaboration with ASUS and Cooler Master South Africa, this build will be built in tandem with the Project Night King build.

Theme for this rig is industrial, and so the name 'Metallum', which is Latin for the word Metal (see what I did there?), chassis will be the Cooler Master H500P to enhance the industrial theme.

To start this log off, some glamour shots...

At the heart of this rig will be an AMD Ryzen 7 1800X:

Motherboard is the gorgeous ASUS Crosshair VI Extreme:

For pushing the frames, we have been provided with the ASUS ROG STRIX Vega64 GPU, which might be custom watercooled...

Update time!

So I finally got my H500P from Cooler Master, and managed to get time to unbox it (shot some video of course, that will come soon), then took a few glamour shots.

I really like how the Crosshair VI Extreme matches the chassis, perfect for our industrial theme

Man this has been a long time since an update on this log!

I have finally received my Arduino Pro Micros, which I will be adding to the build.

On them, will be my little 0.96" oled monitors to show some system stats (if all goes to plan that is)!

It's time for another update.

Now, this mod is an industrial theme, and will be having a rusted effect, almost like something out of Chernobyl.

Finally the last update to this build log, and I will be closing this one as the project has been completed.

Herewith the teaser trailer for Rush 2018 where this machine made its debut appearance with Cooler Master.

After Rush, it was at EGE 2018 with Computer Mania, then Comic Con Africa, and
should be at rAge 2018 for its final show.
