Some screenshots of the game I'm working on

Hey carbies

Thought I'd share some screenshots with ya'll from the game I'm working on. These are just some early scenery shots.
Do not ask for any info on the game because I am not making any details public before the first trailer is released (which is only planned for Q3 2018) :p

And these are daytime shots. The game will not really be taking place during daytime :)

does it have vehicles that you can drive
 
and here I thought it was going to a Zombie Carmageddon kind of game :upset: I always liked the ragdoll physics when running over pedestrians in GTA.
 
Wow those screenshots look awesome good job!

Just out of curiosity is the plan for the game already set in stone or will you maybe be asking community for opinions on certain things.

Its your own game so understandable if you don't want opinions making things complicated but just asking out of curiosity.

In any case well done so far and good luck!
 
Lies, all LIES! I'm afraid I am going to need proof like a demo of the game. :excitement:

I completely forgot about this thread :/ , it has crossed my mind a good couple times since I saw those first screenshots and damn this looks good, the ground and map look full of life and the lighting looks so good. The vegetation doesn't look off or out of place at all and it really looks like things are where they are supposed to be!

Reading the thread again and replying I feel for some reason a "The Forest" vibe from it xD
 
How is the logic, mechanics, gameplay, story coming along?

You seem to approach the game creating from a completely different direction than we usually do. We usually have a full functioning game, with everything as it should be. Playable with blue and red squares. :D Then we add the pretty things.

Thank you, but changes are inbound. Slightly improved visuals :D

To tell you the truth, I’ve never even played The Forest :p
 
Played it when it was very early alpha, watched some recent game play and it has come a long way. The wood filled map gives off the feel but I'm almost certain your game doesn't have a bunch of cannibals running around eating people that died in a plane crash, and then hut you down, the one of very few survivors 😂

I’m afraid I have to report that progress has been minimal :(

There was a period of around 7 months that I sat without a GPU and even when I finally replaced my GPU, my work interfered with my own time on a regular basis. So much that I had neither time, nor strength to work on this.

Now however that I am not working full-time I have the time and energy to give this the attention I always wanted to. Even when I do start working full-time again, I am not going back into software development. I’ll go back to an 8 to 5 job where my time is my time and where I’m not mentally incapacitated at the end of the day.

Now on to the game... :D

The game will now drastically change from what I had in mind at first in favor of a campaign mode which will not be open world. The open world map that I built will not go to waste though, but is being repurposed for an additional mode outside of the campaign. I’m not saying anything more regarding said mode at this point in time :p

I’ll be dropping some teases now and then. I’ll probably start a new thread when ready.

As far as gameplay and mechanics go, I’m working towards Splinter Cell Conviction meets Resident Evil 2 :p Those two games played beautifully.
