Hi all

So for some weird reason i got the urge to try something crazy like overclocking a old cpu...
This motherboard just kinda shouts" i can do more"

So i kicked out the stock cooler, slapped a decent cm hyper h411 on it and started fiddling with the bios.

Running 4.0ghz - whoooop! 24.0 x 167 (as per video below)

But now the problem.
It boots at 4.0ghz - idles 30 degrees .. A)
But as soon as i start gta5 it kicks out a blue screen. "clock watchdog time out".

B) Also when it iddles for about 10min (random times after 5min of iddle) it also blue screen watchdog.

I have in it 12gb ram. 2 x 1333hz and 1 x 1600hz. (task manager says its running at 1066hz- 😐)

So when tuning it i set times to 1336hz in bios but still shows 1066 in task manager .. (Timings at 11 and tried 10 as per video below)

Isit because its not the same speed sticks or becasue a stick is missing?

Can it be the ram that bombs it out? Yes i know its not recommended to run unbalanced ram.. Awaiting 2 more sticks.

Next question is do i pop in 1333hz ram in it or rather 1600hz? (stock specs says it supports 1333hz and 2600 OC. (see mobo link below)

Here is the video i followed :

Mobo is the Asus p7h55m evo, cpu i7 870.

Hope someone can show me some ropes.

Note im a noob when i comes to OC.
