Getting bad posture and burnt thighs from legit LAPtop use?

This is the first batch of prototype tops I have and some are more perfect than others:
3 off - Extra perfect 10/10 wow
1 off - The bamboo grain runs the in the less than ideal direction (you won't be able to karate chop it, but it's less strong)
1 off - A circle vented version before I settled on slots (slots add safety for your laptop if the top gets heavy tilted)
I have no cushions at the moment as these will be made to order. (in the pictures they are 20x20 square, next batch they will be 20x16 so you can change your height)
