I was planning to by a Simucube wheelbase and Cube Controls wheel to go with my Clubsport V3 pedals. I wasn't sure about how the wheel would mount on the wheelbase and if everything would work together properly so I just bought a Fanatec Podium F1 wheel with the DD1 wheel base. Works great without any issues. I don't like having to waste time getting to stuff work and would rather spend my time doing laps. Hopefully you get all your stuff sorted out soon. After watching/reading lots of reviews, I ended up ordering an Ascher Racing wheel.
I couldn't find a cheap USB load cell interface, but I did manage to find a HX711 board at home. It seems relatively straightforward to DIY an interface with the HX711 and an Arduino Pro Micro. I'll hunt around for the Arduino and will report back on how well it works.
I've found fixed backrests to be a little uncomfortable, unless you tilt the entire seat.Where would you guys say is the best place to buy a seat to use on a rig? I'm looking for something with recline or fixed backrest side-mount in order to adjust the incline of the seat.
I ordered from them earlier in the year. Ordered a DD1 wheelbase and F1 Clubsport wheel. Paid on Thursday, received on Sunday.Has anyone had some experience ordering any of the listed rigs from digital-motorsports.com? I have seen a collection of glowing reviews online, interspersed with some negative reviews. I see they ship to South Africa and even list their prices in Rands (excluding any form of import duties or taxes of course).
My GT Rig is locally available at R3200 and my product quality is unbeatable at the price. Reviews speak for themselves.I am looking to getting a sim rig soon, but they're not cheap ($500+ for a GT Omega or DIY 8020 style). The Playseats are garbage and massively overpriced.
